First Assembly Principal Doug BalserWelcome to another wonderful year at First Assembly Christian School. This promises to be one of the best years in the school's history. FACS has been ministering to students and families since 1984. Although over the years there have been changes, the one thing that remains the same today is the school's commitment to minister to the whole child. The FACS children grow academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally each and every day. We have an extremely dedicated and professional staff that is excited to be working with your children. They will work extremely hard to meet the goal of ministering to the whole child. I am excited to see how the teachers will challenge and grow our students on a daily basis. This staff is truly 'Investing in Champions.'

Each year our staff works very hard to improve the school and the programs that we provide. The school has added a full Spanish program to the Middle School classes (6th-8th grade). The students will complete the equivalent of Spanish 1 when they graduate from FACS. We have also upgraded our technology with the addition of our new website and the InfoDirect online grading program. The school also added 25 new computers in the upstairs lab. Throughout the year you will also see an increased role of our PTO and our parent volunteers. I truly believe that parent involvement is key to our students success. Finally we have brought back or added several new events. PrimeTime, the 2nd-5th overnight reading event will take place for the first time in 4 years. This is a fun and productive evening. FACS is also introducing the first Pastor Appreciation Chapel and the first Alumni Day. This will give our current students the opportunity to honor their pastors from their home churches and to meet and honor our past graduates.

I am very excited about all that will be happening at FACS this year. I encourage all parents to take the time to get involved with your child's class and events. I promise it will be an experience that you will always treasure.
